(Female Culture Concept)
In order to create an opportunity for female artists to finally have as many performance opportunities as their male counterparts, Felicia formed the project "women in action“ (wia) in July 2003.
In connection with the Fürth Festival, over the course of three days she organised the preformances of more than 49 artists (also supported by various male musicans and performers). Here they were given the chance to present themselves through live performances on one stage together! Through this the artists also had the opportunity to form networks with oneanother, some of which are still in use till this day.
In July 2004, more artists were added and from March to Dec. 2005, five from the main artists were selected to go on tour throughout various clubs in Franken (Area around Nürnberg, Germany).
Artists such as Isabel Morales Rey (latin jazz pop, www.isa-projekt.de), Ana Patan (acoustic jazz), Monica Calla (kabarett, www.monica-calla.de), Petra Eisend (percussion, www.drum-experience.de), Fee Kuhn (kabarett, blues), Sabina Bickel (rock, soul), Eva Frey (percussion), Lisa Cash (singer), and many others, all participated performing independently of one another, but yet together as one. Through this, each artist also had the opportunity to form networks with one another, some of which are still in contact till this day!
As of September, 2009, "women in action" will have it´s own forum in "Neubauers Schwarzes Kreuz" in Fürth!
Every tuesday night from September to April, various female artists will have the opportunity to perform. On each night representatives from the "Stage Coach Kids" in Nürnberg will be the opening acts. The performance schedule for the first three months will be available on the first of July 2009.
All female performers who wish to participate, please contact me via email for details:
